Akwa-ibom state university has released details for their 2016/2017 post Utme/admission screening form. The minimum cut off Mark is 180. The excercise is scheduled to hold from 8th August, 2016 to 12th August, 2016.

Candidates who scored 180 and above in the last UTME examination and chosed Akwa Ibom State University as their First Choice (Most Preferred) institution.
How To Apply For AKSU 2016/2017 Post Utm Screening
University portal will open for registration from Monday the 18th of July, 2016 and end on Friday 5th August 2016. Candidates are required to register online for the screening exercise using the following procedure:
Rivers State University of Science and Technology, RSUST post UTME/admission screening commencement date and requirements for the 2016/2017 academic session have been released.
The screening exercise is scheduled to commence on Monday 18th July, 2016 at the Information Technology Centre (ITC), Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt. Screening exercise shall commence from 7.30am.

The Federal Government on Saturday 16th of july 2016 further clarified its ban on Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and the general admission procedures, saying it “does not in any way affect the statutory role of the Senate of any University or the academic boards of any tertiary institution conducting its admissions.”The Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, stated this in a statement by the Deputy Director (Press and Public Relations) in the Ministry of Education, Mr. Ben. Bem-Goong.
Obafemi Awolowo University(OAU) 2016/2017 post Utme & Direct Entry screening application form is now on sale. All OAU prospective utme applicants must have scored 200 and above to be eligible for post Utme.
Also, applicants will not be required to be physically presents on campus to take the screening. The screening exercise shall commence on July 15, 2016.
Closing Date for screening of UTME candidate is 20th July, 2016 while the Closing date for screening of Direct Entry is 30th July, 2016.
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), University of Ibadan chapter, has faulted the guidelines released by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for admission of candidates into Nigerian tertiary institutions stating that JAMB acted beyond its powers.
According to the union, the Senate of Nigerian Universities has the mandate to regulate admission modalities as each university has standards which are not subjected to the whims and caprices of any government appointee.
Speaking, the Chairman of the union, Dr. Deji Omole, said both the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, and JAMB Registrar, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, first got it wrong by going against the administrative charges collected by institutions for post-UTME and later reversed their stand in their guidelines which he described as illegal and designed to favour children of the rich against the poor.
